FAQ

I'm sure you have questions, we've answered some of the more common ones below ... Choose a category, then look for your question.

Firstly - The most common question:

-  Yes, all of our prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD), but don't worry - we use Paypal so they sort out the conversions for us, as well as making sure we never see your Credit Card details (as it should be);

-  And - Yes! We ship all over the world.

Now - onto the categories;

Do You Post to the USA:

We are located in Canberra, Australia, and post clocks all over the world. We regularly post to the USA, Canada and England, and our local post master is very friendly and has always been helpful!

Recently, we sent some clocks to the Kingdom of Bahrain in Arabia, and we have even sent them to Georgia in the old USSR!

I exclusively use Australia Post for all of my shipping.  I find they are beautifully reliable and not extremely expensive.  All parcels are sent with full tracking.

Import Fees:

You may find that Customs applies an import fee to the clock when it arrives.

Unfortunately, DougsWordClock has no way of knowing what fees will apply to you, and there is no method where we can pre-pay your local taxes, so it may be worthwhile checking with customs in your country if you are worried about duties.

Is There a Warranty:

Of course there is – We warrant the clocks that we construct for 24 months against faulty materials and workmanship. In the case of kits, we warrant the parts, but I can’t guarantee the workmanship.

If you experience a problem – then email us, and we can sort things out.

I would like to point you to the warranty page for more information

I am disappointed in your clock:

I pride myself in making a clock that you will be amazed with, but sometimes as with all hand made electronic items, there may be an issue that misses the mark (Perhaps there has been an electrical failure).  In the unlikely event that you are unhappy (literally 8 clocks in over 6000 clocks made so far [as of August, 2020]) then email me, and I will work to make things right.

If I can’t resolve it for you and you decide that we have irreconcilable differences I am happy to offer a refund facility.  This has occurred so far with 2 people in 4000 purchases.

In order for you to access a refund, you will need to email me at  support@dougswordclocks.com for a Returns Material Authorisation (RMA), then you need to return the clock or kit to me at your expense. The product will need to be packaged so that it is not damaged during shipment. I will refund to you the original purchase price to the paypal account that was used to make the purchase.

Damage in shipment:

Should your purchase arrive in a damaged condition, you will need to note the condition of the package received and retain all packaging.  You will need to lodge a complaint with Australia Post or your local postage authority.
